Slavonian cakes with greaves
There are already a lot of recipes for this winter "cake". Mine has already been posted in one place, but I want to share it with you too.
Preparation steps
- Preparation: Put a little lukewarm milk in the middle of the flour and dissolve the yeast with a little sugar until the yeast rises. Then add the egg yolks, softened margarine and salt and make a soft dough with the rest of the lukewarm milk. Leave covered to rise in the heat for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, grind the cracklings and mix them with the flour to which you have added a little pepper. Coat the dough with the mixture. Fold and roll out several times. Finally, roll out the thickness of your fingers and take out the cakes with a glass or something round. Arrange the cakes in a larger pan and let them stand until they rise nicely. Coat with egg. Bake them at a higher temperature, depending on the oven.
Serving
It is served hot or cold, as who likes.
