Preparation steps
- Make a dough. Put oil and butter in a pot and let everything melt at a medium temperature. Add milk and water, stir. Put everything in a mixing bowl, make sure everything is lukewarm. In a long bowl, mix the flour, salt, sugar and yeast. Put together the wet and dry ingredients to mix everything together, make on the work table to make the dough smooth. Leave the dough for some half an hour in a warm place or an hour at room temperature / although I have to recognized now already in the almost summer months room temperature and is a warm place / judge by the dough when it doubles its volume.
- Divide the dough into walnut-sized balls / maybe a little bigger. Make a feta cheese with a fork if it is not salty enough. Add salt. Spread each ball in a circle so that it is not thin. Put it in each small filling / teaspoon. on which you previously placed the baking paper.Repeat the process until you have used up the ingredients.
- Arrange the simets on the baking sheet on which you put the baking paper. In a bowl, mix the molasses and water to melt and combine everything. Coat the simites with a brush, sprinkle them richly with sesame seeds. Cut the simites diagonally in a couple of places. Bake in a preheated oven at 200C / some 20 Min or until you see that they have got a nice color and started to move on the protvan.
- Serve cold.
