Silly salad
But totally ... For all those who are open to interesting combinations of ingredients, flavors and aromas ... A new idea came about quite by accident ;-)
Preparation steps
- I had the remaining couscous from the previous day, which I prepared as follows: I put the couscous (cup) in a bowl, salted it, picked it, added a little thyme, poured 1.25 cups of water over it and covered it. After a few minutes I topped with a little sesame oil, slowly stirred with the tip of a knife and grated parmesan on top of it. I was left with a small bowl of uneaten couscous :-)
- Slice the grapefruit into the bowl (cut it over the bowl so that the juice flows where it should :-)), add couscous, baby beets, chopped olives, then add a little of all the spices (nutmeg, cloves, cumin) and a little honey. Stir everything slowly and enjoy this unusual salad ;-)
Serving
I sprinkled it with mint ... I think it would go well with pimento sauce, I ate it with homemade horseradish ... With a salt of tea with the taste of plum, grapes, vanilla, rum and cinnamon, it made a complete meal.
