Preparation steps

  • Defrost puff pastry (2pcs per pack). First cook the fillet. Beat eggs and crystal sugar with a mixer, then add thickener, flour and vanilla sugar. Stir until ingredients are combined. Boil the milk and add beaten eggs, flour, thickener and sugar to the milk. Cook as a pudding until the mixture thickens. Allow to cool completely.
  • Roll out one piece of puff pastry with a rolling pin on a floured surface into a rectangle the size of approximately A4 paper. Cut 12 or 10 strips on the longer side (depending on how many molds you have 12 or 10 in the package or 24 or 20 in total). Wind the strips on the molds for the saum roll, spirally so that the strip overlaps in the middle. Leave the top of the thicker end of the mold unwound so that the later baked puff pastry can be removed from the mold. Do the same with the other piece of dough. Arrange the molds rolled in this way on a baking sheet and bake at 220 ° C for 25 to 30 minutes (until they turn yellow). Remove from the oven and while cold, remove the molds from the puff pastry one by one.
  • While the dough is baking, make margarine and knead the cooked cooled filling into it.
  • Fill the leaf rolls with a whisk.
  • Sprinkle the rolls with powdered sugar.
