Salty sham rolls
If I don't fix the blood picture from these nettles, at least I'll turn green. I just haven't made cakes with them yet. Although, hand on heart, these rolls can pass like a cake from afar.
Preparation steps
- From the puff pastry, cut strips 1 cm wide, make a mold for sham rolls, coat with egg yolk mixed with a little milk and bake. Wash and blanch the nettle leaves well. Squeeze out as much water as possible and chop them in a blender. Add salt and cream to the nettles. you get a homogeneous mass. Now .... I buy craft sour cream that is whipped, so if you add sugar you get sweet sour cream, if it is without sugar then it can be used for salty combinations. Maybe here could be some milk sour cream that it is not sweetened, I haven't tried it. The sour cream is mixed with the cheese and nettles, slowly with a spatula so that the mass remains airy.
Serving
The rolls can be sprinkled with sesame or salt before baking.
