Salty buns with cheese
Buhtle is an autochthonous Croatian dessert that can be compared on the table with walnuts, poppy seeds, gibanica… Not to stray too far from our recipe, if you haven't tried them yet, be sure to try salty buhtle with cheese.
Preparation steps
- Crumble the yeast, add sugar, a little warm milk and leave in a warm place for about 10 minutes.
- Add the yeast, oil, salt, beaten egg and yolk to the flour, then knead a smooth dough with the remaining warm milk and yoghurt and place in a warm place until the volume doubles.
- Mix well drained cottage cheese with grated cheese. Add salt, pepper, chives, egg and mix well.
- Divide the dough into smaller balls, thin each ball in the palm of your hand, put 1-2 teaspoons of the filling, then gather, reshape the ball and place on an oiled baking sheet.
- Coat with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds and leave in a warm place for another 15 minutes.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for about 25 minutes.
Serving
Serve salted buns with sour cream.
Advice
Use room temperature yogurt to prepare the dough.
