Rhubarb juice - Mette B.
During the season of this plant, make a juice that is wonderful. Kids love it so much!
Preparation steps
- Put the washed and chopped rhubarb in a cheese sickle together with water, sugar and lemon juice, which you strain from the seeds and pulp. Cover and cook for 20 - 30 min. Put one clean kitchen cloth in a suitable strainer and pour the cooked mass to drain. It will take a while, but don't force it, press the mass to drain quickly, because you will get a juice that is cloudy. Wash the bottles well and rinse in clean water. If you want, finally rinse with a liquid preservative (not necessary, but safer). Dry them in an oven preheated to 100 * C. Pour the squeezed juice into bottles, close and store in the refrigerator.
Serving
Dilute the juice with cold water or mineral water.
