Railway roll

Another recipe from my blue, now yellowed tekice .... About 30 years ago, this roll was very popular .... Today I prepared it for my boys to try it too ... I changed the original a bit I make the biscuit in a double mixture, and the cream in the same ... I put the recipe in my own way, as I prepare it ...

Preparation steps

  • Mix the egg whites into a solid batter. Mix the egg yolks with the sugar, add the lemon zest or lemon-flavored sugar and flour. Finally, mix the egg whites by hand. Divide into two parts, add cocoa to one. Bake separately at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. in a cloth sprinkled with sugar and wrap tightly and cool.
  • For the cream, mix the margarine with the powdered sugar and egg yolks, add the rum. Divide the cream into two parts and add the melted chocolate to one.
  • Squeeze the juice of one orange, you will sprinkle it on the biscuit rolls. Put a dark biscuit on the bottom, coat with yellow cream, press the yellow biscuit on top and coat with dark cream. Twist the roll firmly and carefully.
  • I topped the roll with chocolate glaze, melted 15 dag of chocolate with 3 tablespoons of oil and poured over the roll.
  • In the original recipe, the roll is topped with lemon glaze and tastes great, it goes well with the rest of the cake. For the lemon glaze, you need 1 egg white, 20 dag of powdered sugar and a tablespoon of lemon juice.
  • Refrigerate until serving.
