Quick burek of nettles / spinach
If your family is very hungry and they also like the green color of their food, then this is a real hit! Nettles are discovered all over the world, but we still manage to find healthy nettles that are not treated with pesticides.
Preparation steps
- Blanch the nettle in salt water for 2-5 minutes (depending on the age of the nettle, if the tops are young it will only take 2 minutes, and if the leaves are older and 5 minutes).
- After blanching, immerse the nettle in cold water. This will keep the color. Drain and chop finely.
- In a larger bowl, make cheese, 2 eggs, mileram (or homemade cream that you dilute with a little milk!), Salt and spices.
- In a small bowl, make 2 eggs and mix in the chopped nettle.
- Combine both mixtures.
- Cut 4 sheets of strudel dough according to the shape of the sheet in which you will bake the burek.
- Immediately place the two sheets on the bottom of a greased sheet.
- Break up the rest of the dough or break it into smaller pieces and mix it into the cheese and nettle mixture.
- Fill the mold with the mixture and cover the mixture with the remaining two cut sheets of dough.
- Coat the top with milk.
- Bake in the oven at 200 ° C for about 30-40 minutes.
- After baking, leave to cool slightly covered with a kitchen cloth.
