Pusla cake
An unavoidable cake on my family's birthdays, so I hope you like it too
Preparation steps
- Beat 10 egg whites, 25 dag of powdered sugar and 3 vanilla sugars into a stiff batter.
- when it is well beaten, mix 3 tablespoons of alcoholic vinegar into it and put it in a cake pan.
- in a preheated oven at 120 ° C slowly "dry" for 2 hours
- when it is almost done, leave it in the switched off oven for at least another 4 hours, but it is best to let the egg whites settle overnight
- Mix 10 egg yolks with 5 tablespoons of sugar
- Mix5tablespoons of corn starch with a little milk (to work out like when making pudding) and mix in eggs and sugar
- the resulting mixture is steamed in 7 dcl of milk, stirring constantly until it thickens completely (approx. 15min). Allow to cool completely.
- Stir in 1 cream of margarine and mix well into the finished and cooled yellow cream.
- separate half the cream and mix in 10 dag of ground walnuts
- when the egg whites settle and cool, first coat them with yellow cream, then walnut cream and finally cover everything with whipped cream made of whipping cream and cream fix.
