Proja with bacon and sausage

I needed a quick lunch. Since we are traveling today and we will not be at home all weekend, today I am making what will certainly not stay :) This proja is just one of the variations of the classic projara, but mnoooogo good. We also call it smoked proja, because ... bacon and sausage. It is very easy to make. It is also suitable for absolute beginners in the kitchen.

Preparation steps

  • Two cups (2 dcl) of polenta, one cup of white flour, baking powder and a teaspoon of salt - mix everything in a larger bowl. Add half a cup of oil, 2 eggs, one cup of warm water and one cup of yogurt. Mix with a blender, not a mixer.
  • Finely chop the bacon, sausage and pickles, but do not overdo it. Just a little is enough to make it smell. Add everything to the prepared mixture. Finally, add 500 g of small cheese and slowly combine it with the mixture with a food processor. I like when the cheese stays in pieces, so in this part I make sure to mix too much.
  • I baked in a round mold measuring 30 cm. You can choose a baking tray or mold, according to the thickness of the proje you want. You can also make it in a muffin tin. Deliver the mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 180 degrees for half an hour to 40 minutes. It's done when it separates from the edges of the pan.

Serving

Today it is served with retro yogurt and cabbage salad. Cheers!
