Princes donuts with strawberries
Few people can resist classic princesses, but how about a light summer version of them? Bake your princess donuts, prepare a cream rich in the flavor of bourbon vanilla, mascarpone and sweet cream, and then as a sugar at the end prepare a sweet-sour jam from fragrant strawberries. Doesn't sound bad at all, huh?
Preparation steps
- Put water, oil and salt in a medium saucepan and bring to the boil. Add the flour, stirring constantly with a food processor, and when the mixture is combined and starts to stick to the bottom, cook for another half a minute, then remove from the heat.
- Leave the mixture to cool for about 15 minutes, then add one egg at a time, stirring with a mixer (make sure that the mixture is not too hot, because our goal is certainly not to get scrambled eggs). Make the mixture with a mixer until it becomes smooth and medium thick.
- Prepare a shallow baking tray the size of an oven, line it with baking paper, and then use a decorative syringe to form piles 3-4 cm in diameter.
- Preheat the oven to 220 ° C (if your oven is strong, adjust the temperature - for example, in mine it is baked at 200 ° C), and only when it is fully heated, put the pan and bake the princess donuts until they get a golden color. It is very important not to open the oven, even if you are very curious. Refrain from opening the oven until the very end of baking and you will get beautiful princess donuts.
- Transfer the baked princess donuts from the baking tray to the work surface and immediately cut them so that the cap is 1/3 and the lower part is the remaining 2/3.
- Prepare strawberry jam by first cleaning the strawberries, then cut them into small cubes and put them on the fire. Immediately mix the gelatin that you previously mixed with a spoonful of sugar, then gradually add the remaining sugar, and with constant stirring, wait for the mixture to boil. Add a couple of grains of lemon juice, stir and remove the pot from the heat. The jam should be cooled well, first at room temperature and then in the refrigerator.
- Prepare the cream by putting 3 dl of milk to boil, then mix in the in pudding Bourbon vanilla that you worked out with the sugar and 0.5 dl of milk. Cook the pudding, remove the pot from the heat and allow to cool completely to room temperature. Make the whipping cream with a mixer, then mix in the mascarpone and chilled pudding. Make everything together with a mixer to get a smooth cream.
- Fill the princesses first with a decorative cream syringe, then add a teaspoon of strawberry jam and place the top of the donut.
- Now you can enjoy your summer princesses!
