Pretzels with cumin
Dough again
Preparation steps
- In a deep dough bowl, sift the flour, make a hollow, and grind fresh yeast in it with 2 tablespoons of warm water and a teaspoon of sugar. Mix the yeast mixture well, adding a little flour from the edges. Add melted butter, 220ml of warm water, ground cumin, salt and knead a homogeneous dough. Add more water if necessary. Cover the resulting dough and leave it in a warm place for at least two hours.
- When the dough has arrived, divide it into parts and make rolls of approximately 60 cm in length from each one. Pull the ends of the roller next to each other, fold the lower part of the ends twice, and turn the resulting fold towards the upper edge of the pretzel.
- Arrange the pretzels prepared in this way on a baking tray, on which you have placed baking paper or permanent baking foil and coat them with a fork whipped with egg yolk with 2 tablespoons of water. Sprinkle them with coarse sea salt and cumin seeds. Leave them on warm to rise.
- Turn on the oven to heat to 200 ° C and when it heats up well, bake the pretzels for about 30 minutes.
