Potato cake a la Mercator

This recipe is from one of Mercator's flyers! Try it, it's delicious !!!

Preparation steps

  • From the above ingredients, knead the dough and put it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Peel a squash, grate it and slice it thinly. Put it in a colander and rinse with cold water.
  • Mix eggs with mileram, crushed garlic, salt and pepper and add spices (basil, oregano ...) if desired.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface and place it in a round, greased tin with a diameter of 22 cm and raise the edges to a height of 5-6 cm.
  • Arrange the drained potatoes on the dough and pour over the egg mixture. Bake at 220 ºC for about 30-35 min.

Serving

Serve the dish as a side dish or as a main dish with a green salad.
