Pork fillet with kohlrabi
Simple and fast, a great option for a great lunch, when you don't have enough time or when unannounced guests show up. The measure is enough for two, so in proportion to the number of people, increase the quantities. :) Keleraba is a great substitute for potatoes, since the combination of potatoes and meat should be avoided.
Preparation steps
- The meat can be prepared earlier, and wait in the refrigerator for roasting. Place the fillet on aluminum foil, add the onion, spices, a little olive oil and wrap the foil on all sides.
- Turn the oven to 250 degrees to heat. Peel a squash, grate it and slice it like a potato. (Someone cooks kohlrabi for about 15 minutes before baking to soften it, I don't think it's necessary and I don't do that, because I just like it baked like this.)
- Wrap the baking tray with baking paper. Put the meat wrapped in foil in the pan (I put it on the boards) and order the sliced kohlrabi next to it. Arrange the onion and paprika, cut into circles, over the kohlrabi and sprinkle with crushed paprika. Drizzle with a little olive oil.
- Bake in a preheated oven for about 40 minutes - the first twenty minutes at 250 degrees, and then it can be reduced to 220 degrees.
Serving
Serve with a salad of fresh vegetables, a great option is a cucumber with spice and lemon juice.
