Poppy seed cake with cream cheese and orange by Dr. Oetker
The magic of flavors combined poppy, chocolate, cheese and orange.
Preparation steps
- Using an electric mixer, make butter, add a little powdered sugar, mix egg yolk by egg yolk, mix flour and p.p. and mix alternately with milk.Stir in poppy seeds, lemon zest, and grated chocolate. Beat the egg whites and mix. Pour into a greased mold lined with baking paper with a diameter of 26 cm. Bake at 200 for about 25-30 minutes. Let the baked cake cool and then remove the baking paper.
- For the cream, mix the cottage cheese with the yoghurt, orange juice and orange peel and stir in the gelatin fix. Mix with a mixer until firm. Only at the end add sugar and vanilla sugar. Whip the sweet cream to get whipped cream. Stir into the mixture. Put the cream on the biscuit and leave in the fridge for 2 hours. Then make the cake topping according to the instructions and let it cool a bit. Pour over the cream cheese and allow to harden.

What I will do next time, I will soak the biscuit with orange juice to make it even juicier, and the texture more similar to cream and topping.
