Pomegranate vinegar
Last year I came across a recipe for pomegranate vinegar in a newspaper. Since we have a pomegranate in the garden, I decided to give it a try. Very unusual but aromatic. I’m writing a recipe this year, so if you want, give it a try. He delighted me.
Preparation steps
- Clean the pomegranate from the outer thicker and inner thin skin, then place in a suitable container. The seeds should be crushed to let the liquid out of them.
- In a clean jar, place the crushed seeds along with the juice, add the strips of orange peel, garlic (squeeze it a little) and coriander.
- Mix the sugar and wine vinegar, and set to heat slightly, stirring constantly. When the sugar melts (it takes about 1-2 minutes), pour it all together into a jar.
- Close the jar tightly and leave for two weeks in a cool, dark place. After this time, strain the resulting liquid (preferably over gauze), stopper and store the vinegar until use.
- TRIED: Thank you Babil for trying this unusually aromatic vinegar and for encouraging Anka-1955 to make it A with her too good photo, and Ljubica2111 enjoyed its taste. Sephia immediately made the groom from vinegar and found him a nice companion. It looks really nice in making SmikiStef - thanks! Beautiful red color made by MaReno and "waiting" by CARLI. Luli “dipped” it in lettuce, and for BlackCherryFood this vinegar is the crown of every salad.
Serving
Pomegranate vinegar is very suitable for preparing marinades and as a spice for salads.
