Pogača “a la ispod sača”
This is not a recipe, but a trick on how to make your cake look like it was baked under a baking sheet. Probably most of you know about this, but here's for those who don't know…
Preparation steps
- Knead the dough as for ordinary bread or bread.
- Divide the dough into several smaller loaves.
- Place them on a floured surface to rise for about 10 minutes.
- Turn the hob on the stove over medium heat.
- Place aluminum foil on the hob.
- Take the first loaf and put it on the foil first with the top surface and only for 5-10 seconds. You need to catch a little crust (it will be brown here and there with a black dot). Be careful because it can burn very quickly.
- Turn the cake over, then repeat with the other side.
- Arrange them on a baking sheet and bake them in the oven.
Serving
You can do all this without foil directly on the stove, and you can also arrange them on the grill in the oven and bake like that. But if you have a new stove (like me :)) or it doesn't clean, then I recommend foil and baking sheet. Mom has always prepared cakes like this, and so do I now.
