Pljeskavitsa and Nettle Puree
Let's use what nature has to offer. Nature is still generous, it is up to us to take advantage of it. ........ Take the gifts of the green fields….
Preparation steps
- Boil the nettle that you previously washed in boiling salted water for a few minutes. Strain it (do not throw nettle water, leave it and drink it during the day as iced tea) and chop finely. Set aside as much as you need for the burgers and leave the rest for the puree.
- Add grated boiled potatoes, salt and pepper to taste, oil, garlic and egg to the burger nettle. Mix everything well, form burgers with your hands, roll them in flour, egg and breadcrumbs, and fry them in hot oil.
- Finely chop 1 onion and fry it in a little fat, then add the chopped nettle (which you separated for puree), season with salt, garlic, and sauté a little more all together. If you find it too thick, add a little drained liquid left over from cooking the nettles. When everything is done, put it in a blender and mix briefly. Add the sour cream, then stir in the blender briefly. Serve puree with burgers
Serving
Serve warm with good red wine! I topped the burgers with a mix of mayonnaise and rhubarb (it's not necessary, but it's delicious) Pleasant!
