Pickled hot peppers by Michael Symon

Spicy and aromatic.

Preparation steps

  • put the washed pepperoni in a jar and pour water over them
  • pour that water into a liquid measuring vessel
  • drain half of that water and replace it with the same amount of vinegar
  • put the mixture in the pot in which we will cook it
  • add 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt and 1/2 tablespoon of sugar for every 500 ml of liquid
  • add all other spices
  • bring to a boil, then reduce and cook for another 5 - 10 minutes
  • cool slightly and pour over the pepperoni
  • close them and keep in the refrigerator

Serving

They are best after a couple of weeks.
