Pickled hot peppers by Michael Symon
Spicy and aromatic.
Preparation steps
- put the washed pepperoni in a jar and pour water over them
- pour that water into a liquid measuring vessel
- drain half of that water and replace it with the same amount of vinegar
- put the mixture in the pot in which we will cook it
- add 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt and 1/2 tablespoon of sugar for every 500 ml of liquid
- add all other spices
- bring to a boil, then reduce and cook for another 5 - 10 minutes
- cool slightly and pour over the pepperoni
- close them and keep in the refrigerator
Serving
They are best after a couple of weeks.
