Pelješac klašuni
This is a very old recipe that was often made by our grandmothers. It would be a shame to forget it so I share it with you.
Preparation steps
- From the dough ingredients, knead semi-hard (preferably a little harder) and leave covered for about two hours to rest.
- From the ingredients for the filling, mix the cream by not separating the egg whites from the yolks with the eggs, but mixing everything together (necessarily by hand - not with a mixer).
- Roll out the dough as thin as possible and cut out circles with a small glass or mold. Put a little filling on each circle and close in the shape of a shell. When you have used up all the dough and cream put the oil to warm up.
- Fry the knuckles in hot oil for about 5 minutes.
- Take them out on a paper towel, and later transfer to a bowl and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Serving
Before frying, prick the hood a little with a needle, because this way it will swell a little when frying and it will look better.
