Peas with dumplings

This is my mom's recipe that I often make too. As far as I was able to check, this combination is not there, and it is nice, light and can be an independent lunch;)

Preparation steps

  • Dice the carrot and onion and fry in oil. When the onion has softened, add flour (the amount depends on how thick you want it to be) and then water. Add the peas, season and simmer over low heat until the peas are soft.
  • While the peas are cooking, make dumplings. Beat the eggs lightly, add oil, salt and mamaljugu. Mix and gradually add flour so that you do not form lumps. The mass should not be too thick, but it should still be compact. Leave in the fridge.
  • When the peas are almost done, soak a spoon and make dumplings. When the dumplings are done, let the dish stick and done.
