Pea soup with knuckles

It can be just a soup, but it can also be used as a stand-alone stew. A plate of this soup and a slice of homemade bread and you don’t need anything else.

Preparation steps

  • Finely chop the red onion. Heat the oil and fry the onion (add a little salt to speed up the frying). Chop the garlic and add to the frying pan. Cut the carrots into small cubes and add it to the frying. Drizzle with water (about 2 l), preferably warm. Slice the potatoes. into cubes and put in a pot to cook.Pour tomato juice.Spice - add salt, a little ground red pepper, pepper and if desired a little or soup cube.When the potatoes are cooked crush one part with a fork along the sides of the pot for density. Preparation of knuckles: egg, oil, semolina, flour and a little salt, beat and immediately boil in the soup. Cook for a few more minutes. I put the nails in the following way: I grab a small spoonful of the dough and pull it along the edge of the bowl in which the dough is, so I get properly shaped nails. If desired, add chopped parsley at the end. We ate this fine soup with this wonderful cake.
