Pastel de Gloria
Pastel de Gloria is a traditional Spanish delicacy typical of Christmas.
Preparation steps
- Heat the sugar and water in a saucepan until it starts to boil, then add the semolina, egg yolks and vanilla (which we took out of the bar). Stir all this slowly and beat until you get a fairly thick mixture suitable for filling
- Stretch and roll out the marzipan on the work surface, then use a round model (or cup) to draw out the circles on which to place a teaspoon of the filling, then close the marzipan and form balls.
- Bake at 150º C 5-10 min. When cool sprinkle with powdered sugar
Serving
These cookies can be stored until the Holidays. Wrap them in paper wrappers and store in a tin box
