Pan de jamón (Bread with ham)
Today is 4 years of hanging out with you. I am giving you this recipe that I received from my friend from Venezuela. They make it for the Christmas holidays.
Preparation steps
- From the above ingredients, knead the dough and let it rest while you make the filling.
- Chop the pressed ham and olives. If you put raisins, soak them a little in lukewarm water.
- Spread the dough on the work surface and roll out with a rolling pin to the size of an oven pan.
- Coat the dough with melted butter, order the prosciutto on top and sprinkle with sliced olives and pressed ham. Coat one side with a little water to make the dough stick and the filling not fall out.
- Roll out like a roll and roll over the top with a dough cutting wheel to make a sare. Cover it with a cloth and leave it warm for 60 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180 º. Coat the roll with egg yolk to which you have added a little liquid sour cream. Bake it for about 30 - 40 minutes depending on your oven.
Serving
Cool the baked bread a little and cut it into slices. My friend says to make it earlier and to freeze it. Afterwards it only warms him up a little. Be careful with salt because prosciutto can be very salty.
