Onion bhaji, Indian fried onion served in flatbread and topped with yogurt, lemon, garlic and mustard seeds sauce.
Preparation steps
- Mix yoghurt, finely chopped garlic, juice of one lemon, a little salt and black mustard seeds and put it in the fridge.
- Whisk the flour, polenta, eggs, milk, salt, pepper, cumin and coriander seeds and add the onion cut into thin rings. Stir to combine.
- Add a mixture of onion, flour and spices to the hot oil. Fry until it takes on a nice color.
Serving
I served in a flatbread topped with yogurt sauce, since this time I didn’t get to prepare naan buns. It turned out delicious.
