Nussstängeli - hazelnut sticks

These sticks are great with coffee or another hot beverage. Be careful with your teeth, they are a little hard :-)

Preparation steps

  • Stir the butter until sharp peaks form. Add sugar, salt and eggs and continue to stir until the mixture becomes light. Mix hazelnuts and flour, add to the above mixture and whisk everything together into a dough. Wrap in foil and leave in a cool place for an hour.
  • Cut sticks of 5 x 1.5 cm, place on a tray covered with paper and leave in the cold for 15 minutes. Coat with egg yolk mixed with a little milk.
  • Bake for 8 - 10 minutes in the middle of a preheated oven. Store in a biscuit can.
