Norwegian balls - “Boller”

... fill the whole house with the irresistible smell of sweet pastries… :)

Preparation steps

  • Melt the butter, mix with warm milk, add the yeast and a teaspoon of sugar and leave to sour.
  • Then knead a soft dough from all the ingredients, make it well, so that air "bubbles" appear. Leave in a warm place to double.
  • Divide it in half and shape into 2 thick “sausages” and cut them into slices two fingers thick. From the slices, form balls (the size of a mandarin) and arrange them on baking paper, leaving enough space between them.
  • Leave them to rise for another 15 minutes while the oven heats up to 200 ° C. Bake them for about 15 minutes.
  • If you like, you can also add raisins to the dough. Norwegians call such pastries "rosin - boller" (raisin balls)
  • Right out of the oven
  • They are waiting in line
  • They are cooling down :)
