Noddy of fondant- tutorial
I was asked by a magazine to make Noddy out of fondant and to explain the process of how it is made. I did it with pleasure and made mothers and children happy. I hope to see a lot of Nodi on birthday cakes here soon :) I greet you with this tutorial, I wish you pleasant summer days, and we'll be knocking in August when I come back from vacation :)))
Preparation steps
- First make a yellow fondant car for Noddy. Shape it into a rectangle with the back part (trunk) bent downwards. Cut a seat and remove excess fondant. Depth must be about 15 mm. Coat the inside with red fondant, then add black for the backrest. Glue all parts with a brush and a little water.
- Make a bumper and an upper "mask" on the front. From the dark gray fondant, cut 5 circles about 2 cm in diameter. Glue a small yellow circle to each circle, then glue the wheels to the car. From the red fondant, cut two strips 10-12 mm wide and connect the front and rear wheel with it. Make two headlights from white fondant and stick them on the hood, and then paint them, the bumper and the "mask" with silver paint. Make a windshield out of wire. PICTURE OF THE PROCEDURE
- Make a body for Noddy out of red fondant and thread a toothpick through it. Put your body in the car, and then add your hands. Make a scarf in the shape of a triangle from yellow fondant. Glue it and draw the polka dots with a red felt-tip pen.
- From the skin-colored fondant, make a ball for Noddy's head. Add nose and ears. Mark your mouth so that Noddy smiles slightly. From the brown fondant, make a couple of strands of hair above the ears and in the middle of the forehead. Make eyes out of white fondant and glue them, and then paint them first with a blue felt-tip pen and then with a black one. Draw the lashes.
- Make a hat from navy blue fondant, first in the shape of a ball and then in the shape of a trumpet. At the end of the hat, pull in a piece of toothpick and then put a yellow ball there. Stick the cap on your head.
- Coat Noddy's shoulders with water and then stick your head on the toothpick. If necessary, you can secure the head on the back with a napkin, to hold it until the fondant dries. PICTURE OF PROCEDURESMagazine and Nodi on the front page:) Nodi and Čupko: i 2Nodi tortaNodi torta 2
