Mustachoni

I've been looking for a recipe for mustaches for a long time, so in the end I decided to make my own recipe - I tried to change some ingredients from certain recipes that I have, because I didn't like the taste of those recipes, so that in the end prija… - so I don't go any further… PS MUST read the note !!

Preparation steps

  • Mix with a dough attachment: sugar, almonds, cinnamon and flour.
  • Add solid egg whites and finely chopped chocolate (eg 2-4 mm cubes).
  • When everything is finely mixed, take it in your hands and form small “rolls” piece by piece (see picture), then place it on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
  • If your hands are sticky from the mixture, you need to have water in a bowl next to you, so moisten your hands a little - the sticking will be reduced.
  • Such rolls should be dried overnight !!!!
  • The next day bake for 5 minutes at 220 degrees C.
  • Watch those 5 minutes for the oven and mustaches, because they darken or burn VERY QUICKLY.
  • When they are baked and cooled, they will be quite hard, but don't worry - they should be stored in a tin box in which we will put a slice of apple (it allows moisture to the mustaches if you want them to be softer).

Serving

Very important: use the dough attachment with the mixer, or mix it by hand, because it can happen that the attachment breaks if you use the one for ordinary mixing… (like me :(); and another important thing: Bake the next day!
