Mussels in Römertopf
The most delicious way to prepare these beauties. Needless to say, the Roman pot is the greatest friend of our health, wallet and the cleanliness of our ovens. Enjoy the treat you will make in just a few moments :)
Preparation steps
- Wash the mussels under running water, free of grass and stickiness. Discard the damaged ones.
- Chop the carrots, parsley and celery into noodles, with a peeling knife, or simply chop finely. Cut the leeks into rings. Squeeze the garlic.
- Stir all the ingredients together, place in a well-soaked Roman pot and place covered in a cold oven.
- Saute at a temperature of about 180-200 degrees for a good half an hour. Towards the end, open and leave for another 10 minutes.
Serving
I usually serve it with boiled pasta or we just gather around the pot and dip white bread :) :)
