Mulberry juice (dudinje, mulberry) -syrup
Once a regular resident in the backyard mulberry is now a real rarity, since I have it in the backyard I thought to try something new so we can taste them all year round ... For many this is the taste of childhood!
Preparation steps
- Wash the mulberry fruits through a strainer, soak them in water and add tartaric acid, leave them to stand for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Strain through a cloth and put to boil. Add sugar in a ratio of 1: 1, add 1kg of sugar to 1l of juice. During cooking, remove the foam that is being made. 1 preservative (it was not in the recipe I found, but I added it).
- When it boils, cook for another 15-20 minutes. Remove and pour hot into bottles.
Serving
Used as a syrup, the old cookbook says that the syrup itself is great for coughing ...
