..you were looking for a recipe, here it is, for fans of Srarin cakes with sugar syrup, this cake has a lot of names: nutma, lutma, ravanija, rahvanija, sevdidzan, feder-pita, they are all essentially the same, only a small difference in ingredients ... if you like it try it ..

Preparation steps

  • Whisk whole eggs, with sugar, vanilla sugar and juice of one lemon. Mix flour, semolina and baking powder together.
  • Gradually add oil and sour milk to the whipped egg and sugar mixture.
  • Finally, lightly add the flour, in which you have mixed the semolina and baking powder.
  • Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured baking tray. Place in a preheated oven, and bake at a moderate temperature for about 45 minutes.
  • Baked rahvanija, cut into cubes of the desired size or as baklava and pour over it with boiled and cooled sugar syrup (sherbet-agda).
  • Sugar syrup: sugar, water, vanilla sugar, and if you like a refreshing taste, you can also add a couple of slices of peeled lemon. Cook for a few minutes and cool.
  • Served with Turkish coffee

Serving

If you like, sprinkle it with coconut flour. Cool well. Serve it with good Turkish coffee or cold lemonade. The longer it stays, the better and juicier it is. Enjoy!
