Pie with cabbage or spinach or burek with cabbage is as it is called in other parts, but here in Bosnia every pie had its own name and burek was burek, ie pie with meat. Either way I grew up where pies were often made so I developed as a little girl with my late mother. The unwritten rule of us Bosnians before was that every woman should know how to make a pie, make bread and make baklava haha. I will never forget the facial expression of my late mother and aunt when their pie was developed by my husband. They say they would never distinguish his pie from mine. Today, other times have come where in the kitchen there is no longer only a woman's place, but everything is shared, which I think is much sweeter. When food is prepared with someone you love but everything turns to honey haha. There are many here but I hope you like this version of mine.
