Make your own lip balm part II

Homemade balm does not contain preservatives or artificial colors and therefore does not irritate sensitive skin… When you make the balm at home, you can add ingredients that are pleasing to your skin such as sesame oil, shea butter, cocoa butter .. By experimenting with different essential oils you can create a unique a product that suits your taste… ..I have enough reasons to like the idea :)))

Preparation steps

  • Classic lip balm
  • Melt the wax and oil by steaming them, stirring constantly, so that they are completely united. Remove from the heat, add honey and stir until dissolved, then add the essential oils. Transfer it to the container in which you will store the balm and leave for at least 20 minutes. to cool and tighten before closing. Note: For brighter lips, apply 2 tablespoons of wax and 8 teaspoons of oil.
  • Apricot and lemon lip balm
  • Melt the wax and oil, then remove from the heat and, stirring constantly, partially cool, then add the essential oil. Store in a glass jar. Note: This balm is recommended for people with chapped lips.
  • Lip balm with honey
  • Melt Vaseline, add honey and mix well. Leave to cool, then pour into sterilized glass jars. Note: This balm nourishes and makes the lips shiny. If you want to color it in a warm mixture, add a little of your favorite grated lipstick and mix well to combine everything nicely.
  • Lip balm with shea butter.
  • Melt the wax, oil and shea butter in a steamer, stirring constantly. When the ingredients have melted, remove from the heat and add the essential oils to the cooled mass. Transfer the balm to a jar and allow it to cool completely and set (at least 20 min) before closing the jar. Keep tightly closed in a cool and dry place. Note: You can add 6 drops of mint essential oil and 4 drops of eucalyptus essential oil to this recipe or put 10 drops of rose essential oil and 5 drops of vanilla essential oil… or….
  • For some of the balms it is emphasized that they should be kept in glass jars, while others can be kept in boxes or jars of your choice.
