A TV culinary show prompted me to write this recipe. As a goranka, I grew up on this dish, and it has settled in my kitchen as well. A legend has been told about this dish, which says that on snowy evenings a nobleman arrived in a mountainous village house with his retinue. The housewife had only boiled sauerkraut and sausages to eat. There were a lot of people, little cabbage, so she thought of cooking polenta in cabbage, topped it with warmed greaves and garlic, and served cooked sausages. Everyone really liked it, and in fact the hostess skillfully "planted" this dish so as not to embarrass herself in front of the people who did her house honor by sheltering from the snow and winter.
