Lošinj baklava made of maginja
Planika is an extremely decorative plant. Planika fruits - maginje are healthy but neglected fruits. Most of planika fruits perish and it is a fruit that is an ally of health if consumed carefully. Planika products are delicious and consumable and in large quantities.
Preparation steps
- Peel a squash, wash it and boil it briefly (1-2 min.) In 3 dcl of water with the juice of 1 lemon. Strain the magic.
- From the strained liquid, sugar and honey cook the baklava topping.
- Stuffing I Mix eggs and sugar and add all other ingredients except walnuts (finally mix in bread crumbs and baking powder). Chop the walnuts into small pieces.
- Stuffing II Chop the boiled maginja, peel and grate the apples. Finely chop the walnuts. mix the other ingredients and mix everything lightly.
- Grease the pan with butter. Arrange the crusts one by one (4 pieces) on a greased baking tray. Coat each with the prepared mixture (3-4 tablespoons) and sprinkle with walnuts. On the fifth sheet put the mixture with the stuffing maginas II. Continue stacking the crust in the same order, coating with the filling I. Coat the upper back sheet with melted butter. Cut the baklava into the desired shapes (triangles, rhombuses) and place in a preheated oven. Bake at 200 degrees C for 30-40 minutes, until golden brown.
- Pour cold syrup over the baked hot cake. When it absorbs a little liquid, cover the baklava with aluminum foil and press with another container with a load so that the crusts do not rise and so that they absorb the syrup to make the baklava juicy.
