Linzer snite
For my 90th recipe, I chose my favorite Austrian delicacy after the Sacher cake. It will delight all lovers of hazelnuts, cinnamon… Not to be outdone - try it, you will like it!
Preparation steps
- From the dough ingredients, knead the dough and roll out 3/4 of the dough to the size of half a baking sheet.
- Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet. If it cracks, don't bother, assemble it nicely with your fingers and flatten.
- Place the wafer on the dough and spread it with jam.
- Make strips of the remaining dough and decorate the stake!
- Coat the strips with egg white and sprinkle with almond leaves!
- Bake at 170st for about half an hour!
- Cut the cooled cake into slices, cubes and enjoy the magic of taste and smell!
Serving
I don't like wafers, so I apply jam directly to the dough!
