Lentils with Dalmatian pesto
lentil is one of my 3 favorite dishes and in this way ... I like that special thick one, I make it similar to bean paste .... try it, you won't be disappointed;)
Preparation steps
- Cut the onion into small pieces, grate the carrots and grate half of the potatoes and cut half into small cubes and put it all to simmer in heated olive oil. when it is a little softer, add the bay leaf, skin and bone of the pancetta (or sausage) and put a spoonful of Dalmatian pesto (below is an explanation of how to make it) and oil the dec water to simmer for about 10 minutes for all these toppings to release their thick!
- add green lentils, tomato and spice concentrate (salt, pepper and peperoncino) and add about 1.5 liters of water and let it cook over medium heat until the lentils are cooked through. you will see if you want to add more water, it all depends if you like geese or less often. good apetite!
- DALMATIAN PEST
- in a blender, mix the same amount of bacon, parsley and garlic as desired .... I put almost the same ratio as parsley .... otherwise I make a larger amount and store it in a sterilized jar which I fill and top with olive oil and store in the refrigerator ...
Serving
I also use pest when beans are cooked pasta, I also season it with rice and I like to spread it on toasted bread ....
