Lemon Snite
My favorite combination, lemon with ground almonds in the filling. Every year they are made in the Kindergarten, the children love them a lot. We made, the children wanted to take to school, kindergarten, after a joint breakfast to share with the children, otherwise everyone brought something and then divided.
Preparation steps
- Make all the dough ingredients into a smooth, even mass, divide into 2 parts, 2 balls and leave in the cold until the filling of the mass is prepared.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice. Measure out the sugar, almonds. Grate the lemon peel. (You can also use orange juice, so you get orange slices)
- now add lemon juice almonds, sugar to the mass (if desired, ground walnuts can be added instead of almonds)
- mix well to blend the ingredients finely
- gets a fine liquid mass.
- Prepare the dough, which has already stood for that time in the cold.
- Roll out the dough to the shape of a baking sheet, roll out approximately 40x25cm on a lightly floured surface
- This is how it looks when it develops.
- Place the dough in a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Spread the prepared almond mass over the dough, finely flatten. Another dough to develop the same, the same size,
- so cover the dough over the filling, the edges slightly flowing by hand.
- Prick the dough with a fork in several places. Bake at 180 ° C for 25 minutes.
- Cool the cake, then work with the sugar goose, make the powdered sugar well with lemon juice, a fork until it becomes a more liquid mass, leave it to dry and cut the cake into slices, cubes, diamonds or as desired.
