La saporita sarda (spice mixture)
A mixture of spices created in 1924, it is often used in Sardinia to enrich the taste of many savory and sweet dishes. It is most often used for pasta, for example in tortellini. Many desserts contain this spice, for example tillicasi. All ingredients can be found in our stores
Preparation steps
- Coriander and cumin grind in a coffee grinder. Add the other spices and grind a little more, just enough for the ingredients to mix. Place on a tightly closed jar. It can be stored for several months. I did it for Tillicase (on the Easter list)
