Krapci
Krapci is a traditional dish of Gornji Medjimurje. They were baked with different fillings, but these were my favorites from an early age. My neighbor baked them in a large bread oven, on a "cabbage" leaf (cabbage), for various celebrations, grape harvests. She baked bread once a week, and then the same dough smelled of dots.
Preparation steps
- From the above ingredients, knead the dough and leave it in a covered bowl in a warm place to rise to approximately twice the volume.
- Roll out the dough approximately as for a pizza, place in a baking dish. Leave a little more dough on the edges that will transfer you over the filling.
- Coat the dough with cheese filling, put apples on it, sprinkle with walnuts and sugar and finally pour the cream topping.
- Bake for about 40 minutes at 180 ° C.
