Kosovo cake

Another very nice pastry from that unfortunate chef with beautiful pictures, but obviously in love with the recipe writer, so this cake, like the eights, had to be finished :))) It looks like a bun of bread, but I didn't find any like it on these pages on her.

Preparation steps

  • Knead the yeast from milk, water, yeast, sugar and a little flour.
  • If you use a mixture with bean flour, sift it through a fine sieve, in order to be as even as possible, and you can also use black flour, but since it has not been here for a long time, I am now making it with the stated mixture.
  • Knead a harder dough made of flour, yeast, oil, melted margarine and salt. Divide into three parts and leave for 15 minutes to rise. Without stirring, stretch each into a circle and cut into 8 triangles
  • Roll each into a bun and arrange in a circle along the sides of a greased round baking sheet. Cut a few rolls (3-5, which will depend on the size of the pan and the length of the complex rolls) in half and place them upright in the middle circle so that the cut side is on top. Let it rise.
  • Coat the bread with egg yolk whipped with 1-2 k. oil, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 40 minutes at 180 C
  • Before freezing, ungreased, I did it when it thawed (it was taken out of the freezer 4 hours before baking) before baking :))

Rice flour does not contain gluten, so it is also suitable for people who are allergic to it. This bread with the addition of cumin is widely eaten in Eastern Europe, and especially in Lithuania. It was there that they discovered that it tastes best when lightly toasted.
