Klingon Blood pie

The most famous and cruel race of Star Trek, in addition to eating some worm-like creatures called Gagh, adores its Bloody Pie. The variant of the bloody pie that I make at Star Trek gatherings is the exact opposite of the Klingons. It is sweet and fruity… Everything that Klingons are not. And she looks very bloody!

Klingon Blood pie

Preparation steps

  • cook 3 puddings with sugar in a mixture of sweet cream and milk. (cream and milk make 1 liter and 3 are puddings to make the mixture as firm as possible)
  • mix cherries and blueberries or blackberries into a thick porridge with a mixer or blender
  • Pour half of the pudding mixture into the mold and arrange the fruit puree on it, then pour over the rest of the mixture. Leave in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • For the topping: Slightly caramelize the sugar but not to darken too much. Slowly add water from the compote with vigorous stirring. When the syrup becomes thick but liquid removed from the heat. (If it is too thick, add a little hot water) when it cools down half, add cherry liqueur and extract. Allow to cool.
  • turn the pudding mixture out of the mold onto a tray. Drizzle with thick syrup.

Serving

The whole pie is brought out in front of the company and everyone gets their own spoon. If you don’t like this Klingon brutal way of serving, you can cut it into slices similar to a cake!
