Khaki, Japanese apple, persimmon
A persimmon tree grows in our garden. A beautiful tree with orange fruits. The birds are delighted with its taste, but not me. However, as of this fall, there is a great craze for every fruit. It all started with the discovery of a very simple yogurt with persimmon that delighted us all. And then it started .... Here are, let's say, recipes for yogurt and ice cream. I've also heard that it's great when it's ripe to rip off the top and freeze it and eat it with a spoon like a frappe. I can't wait to try the same. This is done with the type of persimmon that is eaten when it is completely ripe and soft, or as I heard the name, when it is ready.
Preparation steps
- YOGHURT: Mix khaki, which we cleaned from the membrane, into the yoghurt with a stick mixer and enjoy the wonderful taste and silky texture of the yoghurt. You can, of course, add a little cinnamon, banana, a spoonful of honey, vanilla, lemon juice, ginger ...... but this is exactly my favorite, without additives.
- ICE CREAM: Add peeled khaki, honey, lemon juice and banana to the yoghurt. Mix with a stick mixer and pour into molds. This is enough for 6 molds. Freeze and lick.
