Karamello's - Rudolph's Bakery
For caramel and pistachio lovers :)
Preparation steps
- For the base, whisk the butter and sugar well, then add the flour and mix well with a mixer. Spread butter on a small baking tray (about 20 cm) and line with baking paper. The dough is difficult to roll out. I put it directly in the tray, on baking paper, and stretch it with a spoon, and whoever finds it easier can put it between two cellophanes and unroll it with a rolling pin and transfer it to the tray. Bake at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes. It must not be overcooked because it will be too dry and it will crumble
- Heat condensed milk a little, over medium heat, add sugar. Stir until the sugar melts, then add the butter. Stir non-stop so as not to burn, especially on the bottom. When it boils, mix and cook for another 8 minutes, until it thickens a bit and gets the color of caramel.
- Chop pecans and pistachios into pieces. I didn’t have any nuts so I put almonds. Maybe a hazelnut. Remove the caramel from the heat, then mix in the walnuts and pistachios and pour it over the cooled base.
- Put in the fridge to cool well, then cut into cubes or rectangles, as you like :)
- Melt the cooking chocolate and pour over each piece. The whole surface does not have to be poured, and the sarees can be made with a decorating bag. And on top, until the chocolate hardens, you can add whole pistachios / walnuts / hazelnuts, ... as a decoration. I didn't have enough of them, so I don't have them :) I hope you will like them as well as me and my family;)
