Kalja with young cabbage

Today I bought a nice young cabbage for kale. Along with the beef on the ribs, this lunch was also to our taste. Here is the recipe, although I know there are a lot of them.

Preparation steps

  • First, wash the meat well, cut it into pieces, fry it in heated oil on all sides. Pour water and put it to cook. I cut the young cabbage into four parts, cleaned the root and fixed with hot water, drained. Otherwise, I always blanch the cabbage, but this one it was not necessary.The meat was almost cooked, I arranged the cabbage over the meat, added onions cut into four parts, carrots into rings, celery, peppers, garlic and fresh tomatoes in season, and can also freeze. Add all the spices and the potatoes cut into larger cubes. In the end I always add one teaspoon of sugar. Cover the pot and cook. It is not necessary to cook the kalja for a long time because the meat is cooked and the cabbage is young.

Serving

Serve the finished dish, with fresh homemade bread.
