# kalja

Bosanska kalja :)

Traditional dish :)

Bosnian mud

Kalja is the name for a slightly thicker cabbage soup, this is an old and traditional dish but also very often on my table…

Cabbage Kalja

A little cabbage, we haven't eaten it in a long time :)

Cabbage mud

Another old-fashioned dish, in the way of Aunt Dragica.

Cabbage mud

When I was a child, a girl and a young pupil ... I didn't like cabbage at all, and I don't even talk about cabbage ... If my mother cooked for them ... it must have been something else for me ...... And so the years went by. When I got married and had children ... again my mother ruled for everything except me .... By force of circumstances we went far away from my mother. After a long time ... my expresses a desire for this dish and I have no choice but to make cabbage cabbage for my family. She crunches, smells nice ... done. My sat down to eat ... me, I baked eggs for myself ..... I eat eggs, and the one from the sickle smells and calls for a rehearsal :-)))) And so for the first time since I was 28 years old. I try that cabbage and I realize that it is quite good :)))) I have been eating it ever since, and that was a long time ago.

Cabbage mud from an earthen pot

I have not made this dish for more than 20 years, simply because my best was from an earthen pot. A few months ago I finally found here in the USA the original Bulgarian earthen pot and received it as a wedding anniversary gift. No one was happier than me :-) I think it was my favorite gift I ever got :-) I always loved to cook in earthen pots because the taste of the food is completely different. Since I haven't cooked in earthen pots for a very long time, and I've ever cooked in them, they have been used for many years, so there was no need to prepare before the first use, when I got these pots I immediately turned to our dear Milicza for advice on how to prepare them before first use. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the advice of dear Milicza

Corba of my childhood

We called it "Kalja", I don't even know why. This is the first dish I've ever learned to cook, and my favorite. The kids adore her.

Dirty in my way

I have seen different recipes for this dish. My loved ones love the kale prepared this way the most .....

Kalja

Kalja

what a stupid name, it reminds me of a puddle, but it's a good bit to change :)))

Kalja

Kalja

Bosnian dish with fresh cabbage, great !!

Kalja with young cabbage

Today I bought a nice young cabbage for kale. Along with the beef on the ribs, this lunch was also to our taste. Here is the recipe, although I know there are a lot of them.

Mostar mud

Behind the mysterious Arabic name "kalja" hides boiled cabbage with meat, a common continental dish in the Mostar way. To alleviate the smell of cabbage when cooking, we advise you to add a bunch of parsley to the water in which you cook it.

Radojica kalja

I often prepare it, my family adores it, and it always reminds us of a former neighbor - so I called it that.
