Kabak kofte in zucchini sauce

Fine Turkish dish, light and airy meatballs on a bed of zucchini. An unusual combination of ordinary foods. Enjoy !!!

Preparation steps

  • Prepare the dumplings first: Put the bread in the bowl / just the middle / soak in a little warm milk for a few minutes, drain the excess milk and put in another bowl / make sure there is no more liquid on it serves only to soften the bread a bit / add all other ingredients, grated onion, finely chopped or crushed garlic, salt, pepper and all other spices. Stir well / you can break off one piece of meat and fry it in a dry pan to twist the spice / if you are satisfied, cover briefly to stand. Prepare the tomato sauce by putting all the ingredients for the sauce in a pot, let it cook for a few minutes to reduce, beat everything with a stick mixer.
  • Form the balls about the size of walnuts / maybe a little bigger / fry them in olive oil, fry over medium heat until they are baked / 4-5 min /. For the zucchini cream, heat the butter with oil and rinse the sliced ​​zucchini on it to get a nice color, add flour, stir, then milk, let everything cook for a few minutes, if necessary add more milk.
  • Serve by placing a base of zucchini. Roll the dumplings in tomato sauce and place them on top. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve lukewarm.
