Preparation steps
- In a bowl, mix together the finely chopped onion, crushed garlic, thyme, sliced spring onion, allspice, finely chopped chili and ½ teaspoons of salt.
- Make several holes in the meat with a knife 1.5 cm in diameter at an angle of 45 °, as for lard, and fill them with the prepared mixture.
- Mix soy sauce, ketchup, ½ teaspoons of salt, pepper, red pepper, tabasco and oil together to coat the meat. Leave in the fridge for a few hours for the flavors to permeate.
- Take the meat out of the fridge, drain the marinade, but save it for later.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the ramsteak on both sides over medium heat.
- When the meat has got a nice brown color, pour it with the remaining marinade and 100 ml of water. While sautéing the meat, if necessary, lightly drizzle with water to get a delicious sauce. Saute for about 40 minutes on medium heat.
- Removethemeat from the sauce and thicken the sauce with a teaspoon of corn starch diluted in 2 tablespoons of water. Boil it briefly and pour it over the meat.
Serving
Serve with rice or fried potatoes.
